About us

     Two entrepreneurs.
One shared conviction

Patrick and Julien have known each other for nearly 25 years. After years in the corporate world, we entered the world of startups in 2011. As founders, advisors, and hands-on leads, we learned one thing above all: the chance of success increases when you involve the people you are creating something for from the very beginning.

Through that conviction, we discovered the Design Sprint methodology. What started as an approach for developing and testing new products, we have further developed over the years into our own way of helping teams move complex issues forward together.

We have now been on the road with dogoodtopeople for seven years. We work for ministries, regulators, water boards, water companies, and organizations in the energy and infrastructure sectors. More than half of the Dutch water boards have now worked with us. And many of our clients find their way back to us.

Perhaps we are a bit of an outlier. We don’t come to provide knowledge, but to help bring together the knowledge already present within an organization. Not with thick reports as the end goal, but with concrete results that people can move forward with themselves.

What gives us energy every time are the people we work with. People who work with passion and commitment on our water, our energy supply, our digital infrastructure, and a better-functioning government. We learn from them, they learn from each other, and together we move issues forward.

That is why we do it. And why, after all these years, we still enjoy sitting at the table so much.
